Review of Playa del Carmen’s ATV, zipline, and cenote tour, with practical advice on transport, extra fees, age rules, and overall value.

“Wonderful excursion! It was a fast paced adventure with lots of fun to be had. I’d say to come with water and a change of clothes for comfort. If you get in the cenote it is nice to have something comfortable to change into once you’re done and there are changing rooms/lockers for your belongings. We did not purchase any extra items from the stores like the gators or goggles to cover our faces and still had a great time with a little mud on our legs and feet plus showers at the end to help clean up. We did buy the photo package which is great cuz we left…”

“We are a family of 5, including a 2 year old, and decided a private guided tour was the way to go (from a cost perspective and otherwise) and we were NOT disappointed!!! Abraham (Abe) was on time and picked us up at the lobby of our resort with plenty of water and a comfortable suburban for our family, including a car seat for our 2 year old. Abe was so nice and knowledgeable and we are so glad we got there early so we beat the crowds and heat! Abe was so accommodating - he let us decide if we wanted to do the cenote before or after lunch…”

“W ready for a bumpy muddy exhilarating ride through yucatan terrain. Group was nice and small so it made the day more enjoyable. The guides Carlos and Alexandra made the tour so much more entertaining and were so knowledgeable about the history of their home. We visited a mayan village and they were all so inviting, it gave us an insight into daily life in the area. And the Cenote we swam in nestled deep in the forest, amazing.”

“This food tour was amazing. It wasn’t filled with commercial and big name spots. It was local families, vendors and businesses with amazingly good feel good food. Enrique was the best tour guide as well. He knew his stuff, was accommodating and gave a real in depth history of the food you were eating as well as the area. I’d do this tour everytime.”

The ride was fun and we especially enjoyed our visit to the Cenote where we learned about its history and jumped into the water and swam. Everyone had a wonderful experience 😎, well done!!”

Review of the Chichén Itzá tour from Playa del Carmen, with a cenote swim, Maya village, lunch, Valladolid, costs, timing, and practical tips.

“Overall it was fine. The tour operators were very nice, and the bus was comfortable and air conditioned. It could have been shortened, though. Lunch took far too long. We were given a 20 minute speech that only those in the very front could hear (something about a Mayan food ritual?), then had to wait another 20 minutes before we could enter the dining area. Also, the stop at the colonial city (which wasn't even listed on the itinerary) was unnecessary. We left Playa del Carmen at 8am (met the tour operator at 7:40) and didn't get back until 8:30pm. Also, our guide at Chichen Itzá (not part of the…”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 923 reviews · 4 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $139

Review the Playa del Carmen Taco Tour for handmade tacos, pulque, salsa, margarita making, transport, value, and practical booking tips.

“First off Jarrett was amazing! He was a wonderful tour guide. He made the tour much better than it was. He was very knowledgeable and a fun character. However, this tour lacked tacos. For a four hour tour that cost for two $380 can, we ate a total of 6 tacos. We stopped at a grocery store and had a hour of walking on 5th ave by ourselves in that time span. Thats not why we went on a “Taco” tour. It was an experience because of Jarrett but wouldn’t recommend or do again.”

Paul was also very informative during the bus ride with showing us some of the artifacts. Shout out to our driver, Thomas! You are the real hero 👍🏿”

Took us straight to tulum ruins which was absolutely great & informative then onto paradise beach for an hour of free time. Resteraunt near coba was nice buffet lunch. Coba we opted to do the bicycle ride around the site with our guide, you can walk if you wish to. The cenote was very nice. Our guide offered to take family photos which thought was so nice of him. No hard sell of any items at all from this tour, I would recommend this small group tour.”
