“We had the absolute pleasure of touring Chichén Itzá, the old city of Valladolid, and a stunning cenote with Paloma from Mexico Kan Tours, and she was truly outstanding. Our group of 5 was joined by two other couples with very different needs, and Paloma managed everything with such grace, attention, and professionalism. She was incredibly knowledgeable, answered every question with enthusiasm, and made the day both educational and fun. Paloma went above and beyond — she even helped us book our next tour to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere, sending me a direct WhatsApp link to make things easy. She also wished me a happy birthday, which was such a…”

Review of a Tulum day trip to Chichen Itza, Valladolid, a cenote, and a Mayan food demonstration, with costs, timing, and booking advice.

“My first time to use Viator and it was the worst experience ever ! Never will i use it again. I'm an Expedia user. We bought tickets to see Chichen Itza, a cenote, and Villadolid. It was supposed to be a 12 hour trip. We got up at the crack of dawn for a 7am pick up which we had to cab to from our hotel resort (600 Mxn pesos). We got to the pick up point and after waiting for 15 min called the phone number online (EKINOX TOURS) and was informed they had no space for us. The tour was full. We had digital tickets, a confirmation number,…”

“The tour itself was excellent and the guide was very knowledgeable. The tour was advertised to include hotel pick up and I even put in the hotel information. However, the operator would not pick us up at the hotel and we instead needed to walk nearly 30 mins to a nearby supermarket to meet the driver.”

Review of the Chichen Itza, Cenote Chichikan, and Valladolid tour from Tulum, with honest advice on timing, fees, stops, and value.

“Our guide was so bad that it made the experience that much more entertaining. There was constant concern on the bus ride there that he was going to collapse from either a heart attack or whatever ailment was affecting him. He confessed to us at the cenote that he had an infection in his throat that was hindering his voice. This made so much sense since he was giving the tour in both english and spanish, and given that we were all bilingual, it was surprising that none of us could understand what he was saying. Poor guy...he tried. The cenote part was absolutely beautiful and the little town that…”

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 59 reviews · from $98

Review of a Chichen Itza day trip from Tulum with Cenote Saamal, Valladolid, Mayan culture, transport, timing, and value at $98.

“Unfortunately, this tour was disappointing and not value for money. The transportation was unsuitable for the number and size of passengers, with cramped seating and no legroom for over 2 hours at a time during a 13-hour day. Despite raising this with the guide, no adjustments were made. The schedule was also poorly organised: only 50 minutes at the cenote, which was not enough time to get changed, shower, swim, and enjoy the experience. This should have been at least 2 hours, and having it as the first stop left us wet and uncomfortable for the rest of the tour. Meanwhile, we had 50 minutes at a shop but only…”

“Amazing. If you haven't seen Chichen Itza in person you really need to. The whole city has a grandeur that is difficult to put into words. The cenote is cave like and is almost a religious experience. Lunch was great as well. Thanks to Iber our wonderful guide. Great driver and guide.”

“The tour at Chichen Itza was great. Had our own tour guide for English folks. The cenote was absolutely beautiful. I have been to many before, but this one was quite striking. Didn't really see the point of going to Valladolid. I'm not a shopper so maybe that was the problem. All in all, a great day.”

“Excellent driver and host Leo— helpful in very way and a joy to be with. Excellent transportation. Guide at Ek Balam, Guierrmo, very knowledgeable/ amiable. Cenote experience fun and uncrowded (wear hiking shoes at ruins if you wish to climb pyramids; change to flip flops when you arrive cenote). Mayan themed cultural lunch unexpectedly tasty home cooking. Highly recommend. May repeat trip someday with other family members.”

“Tour guide hector aka “foca” was so fun and hilarious. It makes a BIG difference when the guide loves their job. And foca was great! Chichen was hot! Wish i had more water. The iced cold beer was a nice bonus coming back on the bus. It was fast paced but makes sense since there is so much to do. Cenotes were the most incredible from my whole trip that week. Absolutely gorgeous! 10/10 most memorable trip”

Review of a 12-hour Tulum tour to Chichen Itza, Cenote Nool Ha, and Valladolid, with lunch, transport, guide, and practical booking advice.

“The trip was adequate. Stops at Chichen Itza, Cenote and Valladolid was great. They should have used the time at the Mayan village (1.5h)and cut down Chichen Itza (2.5h) each by half an hour as we only had 40min for the cenote and 20min Valladolid. The busdriver left us twice standing for 10+Min outside in the blazing heat while he was sleeping in the aircon bus. Our bus arrived 30min late. The english speaking tour guide at Chichen Itza was useless and I got more info from google. Best would be to try a different tour as it was more sale of local produce than informative.”
