“This excursion exceeded our expectations! It was well organized, the guides were great, and each experience was special in its own way. The trip was run by Cancun Adventures and our guides, Jessie and Julio, explained everything in great detail and with unexpected humor. We weren’t really sure what to expect with the cenote swimming, but it really was quite exhilarating and educational. The cenote we were in could definitely be considered a bit claustrophobic, so be aware of that. Special shout out to Jessie for paying special attention to my 74-year old mother-in-law and making sure she was comfortable and safe during the whole trip. Personally, I loved the…”

Paul was also very informative during the bus ride with showing us some of the artifacts. Shout out to our driver, Thomas! You are the real hero 👍🏿”

“There will be an additional 40 dollars per travel prior too exiting for the trip . The transportation is cramp so if you are of bigger stature you may be uncomfortable especially if your hotel is amongst the last to be picked up. The trip to the site is 2.5 to 3.0 hours in packed van. Learn about the history some before you go so theory makes sense all guides not as good as others. Bring cash and purchase your souvenirs closer to the site not the entry the price I may be higher near entry and exit point.”

Review of a 12 to 14-hour Chichen Itza, cenote, and Valladolid tour from Playa del Carmen, with lunch, transport, and practical tips.

“If I could give this negative stars I would. 1. First off they were 45 minutes late picking us up. 2. The bus was not made with anyone over 5 foot 3 in mind. The seats were tighter than being on an airplane. After hours of being on this bus my knees, was well as my girlfriends knees, were rubbed raw by the seats in front of us. 3. The bus had WiFi but they would not let us join it. 4. We stopped at the Cenote and then we were told that it was time to go. We were in the water for less than 5 minutes. 5. On…”

Explore Rio Secreto near Playa del Carmen with a guide, swim through limestone caves, enjoy lunch, and travel by air-conditioned van.

“Seeing Rio Secreto is an amazing experience and our guide José was great. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take pictures as there is a photographer from the tour operator with each group and they sell the photos later for 30$ each. The transport from Cancún was good, but for the transport back I was put in a bus that stopped several times in Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos and Resorts outside of Cancún which caused the drive to take more than 2 hours. I guess as I was a solo traveller, they just used me to fill up a bus, but I pay as much as every other customer…”

“We only had time for a half day excursion. This trip was perfect. We got into Tulum early before it was too crowded. Carlos shared so much information. We then headed to the cenote for the second part. We were underground for a long time-40 minutes or so. NOTE- it sounds scary…dark, tight spaces, bats, but it really wasn’t. I’m a bit claustrophobic and do NOT like bats. I was not uncomfortable even once. Once again Carlos had so much information to share. We ended with a delicious lunch. It was a great half day trip!”

“This tour came recommended from a friend who did it 3 years ago and it remains impressive today! We had an awesome guide Cesar, who was super energised to tell us all about the history of the area and obviously has deep respect for the land and culture of the region. The pace of the tour was good, with a great array of things to see and do including history, nature and activities. A highlight was seeing wild monkeys and learning about the Yucatan area and Mayan civilisation. Would gladly recommend this tour for years to come :) thanks to Cesar and the team.”

He had further illustrations to show which helped to clarify what we were looking at. The vehicle was good and the driver made our journey comfortable.”
